Painting in Devon

I've introduced my self, time to talk about painting. I use acrylic mostly. I used oils until I had children, who accidently knocked a painting over onto the carpet. Acrylic dries so quickly, so the carpets are safer, but I can be impatient too, with a painting, not the children. After getting used to Acrylic, I stuck with it, loving the speed of drying, the way I can explore an idea and change things with out having to start over, and I can paint thickly or water the paint down so that I get a water colour effect. I love the Devon country side, rolling hills, bright colours of the red earth and yellow and blue crops, so bright they can look unrealistic, inspiring me to paint landscapes like Exe Valley View, which appeared on the gallery pages. I love rivers flowers, animals, the sea. I am fortunate to live in Devon.
