Op'd....

Op'd....

Bit of a glitch, but coming round.

There is likely to be a period of silence on my part, although I shall still be on the lookout for spam posts to squelch. My eye operation was complicated by the fact that I've had a detached retina in the same eye in the past, and unfortunately problems arose, causing me a good deal of pain owing to high pressure in the eye. The surgeon came down from theatre today to see me in the eye unit, and undertook a procedure to release a fluid build-up - if you're facing this operation, there's no reason why this should happen to you, it's my history that led to it. But if it does happen to you, it will hurt, but the procedure to correct it is painless. Anyway, it's now going to take some time - perhaps up to 6 weeks - before there's a real improvement in vision, although it is getting slowly clearer: at least i can see the big letter at the top of the eye-chart, whereas previously I couldn't even see the eye-chart! So thank you for all your good wishes, but forgive me if I don't get around to replying to all of them very quickly.
