Not blogged for ages!

It has been busy here but that is no excuse to have not blogged since March! The refit is almost complete - decorators are coming to and fro as is convenient with magazine deadlines etc. but the bulk of it is done and is all looking very smart and business like in our quaint old offices. Painting competitions are always so popular with our readers, but we couldn't help but be blown away by the beautiful bluebell paintings sent in this spring. We are waiting for Sally to come back from Patchings to start judging, but do take a look (see a news story for links) they are amazing. Jean Haines has been equally blown away by the entries to her dramatic watercolour challenge too - Jean is on her own with judging this one and I think the challenge is hers now as the variety and standard of work is fantastic. Don't forget our Best of Britain and HeptARThlon painting competitions are still open for entries. Having read a recent forum thread about seeing more from our gallery artists in the magazines, I have decided that the next e-newsletter (being mailed next month) will have bonus features from six of our popular gallery artists rather than magazine contributors. Make sure you sign up to receive these newsletters so you don't miss brilliant features from some of you! I will endeavour to blog more regularly again from now on!
