NEW BEGINNINGS

Even though our good intentions to celebrate and share our love of art, become frustrated by life events, our interaction with the world still continues and can still produce positive artistic results, even if through negative experiences. After all, our creativity comes from within ourselves, and our experience to external factors will affect our perception. For me, being restricted within a hospital ward for several weeks at a time, leads me to a greater sensitivity to the world around me. While travelling along in the car, the sight of a bird of prey or calf may not elicit any reaction from my son,( whose earphones serve to block out the world) whereas I can become very enthusiastic. The memory then stays with me and helps as I start my next painting. That is the joy of art; the more I do the more I learn about technique and of how I reproduce the world around me.Hopefully that appreciation is reflected in my work.

Beautiful thrush, I hardly ever see one so it is great to give all of us a happy reminder of when they were more common

Lovely painting - Looks like it has been painted with acrylics.
