On Saturday, with my brother, visited the Mondrian & Nicholson exhibition at the Courtauld Gallery, one of London's smallest galleries. Great show. Paintings grouped well. Only ever seen one piece of Nicholson's work up close before, and only viewed Mondrian's work as illustrations in art books. Found Mondrian's work interesting, but I think on reflection, I prefer Nicholson's, even his white work. We also had a good look round the rest of the gallery. Impressive collection. I'm a huge fan of Kandinsky's work, so I was delighted to find the Courtauld had several pieces on display. Could have sat & viewed them for hours!
