Thank you both for your advice. I will probably keep the painting after all. I know what you mean about the standard of work here Irene. It really is very high, but be brave - i have had some really useful comments and i am glad I took the plunge. I also learn a lot by looking at the other paintings.

i know what you mean, as it;s happened to me! but never sell yourself short. each artist puts a lot of heart, soul, and passion in their work. i have only just joined this website and having seen the standard of the work on here, im now not so sure my work is good eneough. but i might be brave and put a few in my gallery!! whish me luck.

Then the new lower price becomes the bench-mark...the next-time they want it lower still...perhaps? The painting, if undamaged, will live to sell another day for more...perhaps?
