Hi, this is my first ever blog, hope you like it. Tell me if you think I could improve it. I have been painting since 1983 and had many exhibitions in Hampshire and was lucky enough to sell quite a few paintings, Enough to carry on painting, buy more paints and canvasses. We left England after I recovered from bowel cancer 10 years ago and moved to the mountains in Spain. Clean air and lovely light. I mainly paint in oils but also like to ring the changes with water colours and pastels. I taught for a while and still, occasionally, friends come and ask me how to go about something. In 2006 I contacted breast cancer but after a masectomy I am now really getting back on my feet. My painting has helped me to keep going and also I get so involved with it, that I forget about any problems or aches and pains, I love to paint more than anything else.
