Losing the will to live (and not with my painting this time!)

Having only recently re-started my blog after a long gap, I have noticed a couple of things that make using the blog area very frustrating. The first seems to be the slowness of the blog page to load. Perhaps it is just my laptop (although relatively new and quite fast) but I almost lose the will to live in waiting for the blog home page to load. It doesn't seem to be affected by the time of day or the day of the week (or even a full moon!) - it creaks into life only after I sit drumming my fingers on my desk for ages. The other big problem is that people just can't find individual blogs. If a blog isn't in the right hand column of recently added posts, it disappears in the the list of all blogs never to be seen again until it surfaces back into the recently added column. I have had several people ask me what the name of my new blog is because they can't find it. How to solve this I do not know, but it does need solving for sure. I have suggested to Dawn that we have a list of blog author's names in alphabetical order with the title of their blog beside each name. Very simple and may well work. Until then the only alternative seems to be to either know the name of the blog you want to view or, if you have a spare afternoon, you can plough through every blog to find the one you want. Hardly surprising that the blog area is the least used on the site.
