The Weald of Kent Craft Show takes place next month with a new for 2010 Art Materials Marquee, sponsored by Leisure Painter and The Artist. Some of the team will be at Penshurst Place, Nr. Tonbridge in Kent for the full 3 days (1st-3rd May) of the event. As well as our pre-bookable workshops there will be regular FREE half hour art demonstrations in a variety of media and subject matter. You will also be able to test and purchase art materials from exhibiting companies. With a show garden, specialist food and drink marquee, rural craft demonstrations and much more, this should prove to be a great family day out. See the events calendar for further details. The Patchings Festival is also just around the corner, and there are still just a few spaces left on the Soraya French workshop on July 11th. You will have to be quick though; these fantastic 3 hour sessions get booked up fast! Sally and Ingrid had the difficult task this week of judging the hundreds of entries to the Patchings open art competition. All 140 selected works will be displayed at the festival in Nottingham from 10th – 13th June.
