KEEPING UP WITH THE NEWS

The picture is Durban House at the rear. ~ I went for my MRI scan today and although I wasn’t looking forward to it, it wasn’t as bad as the first one. It lasted only 15 minutes instead of an hour and my ears were better protected than before and the young lady helped me to get on and off the table and made me as comfortable as she possibly could. She also informed me what to expect at every stage during the procedure. Seeing the consultant on Monday 27th. It seems an age away. ~ I have fulfilled all my summer commitments now and the painting for the Mayor’s Charities is doing quite well having attracted more than £50 in donations already. There’s a couple of months to go before the Mayor’s Ball when the winning number is to be drawn so I’m hoping to be able to, at least, double the amount before then. ~ The Arts Group meetings re-start on Friday and I’ve written a letter of resignation because I now feel that the work involved is just too much for this little old lady. I will support them this term but they will have to decide how to manage things for themselves or it will be the last. Have to begin prep now for some sort of lesson on Friday. Hoping for 1 or 2 new members.
