JUST A QUICKIE

Still busy, visiting a physiotherapist for treatment on my left hip, (yet another bothersome problem). The Arts Group are working hard on a project I set for handing in on the 26th.June for critique. I asked for line & wash and most of them seem to be complying, we'll see. The photograph is the picture they are working from. Lots of rubbish in the shot for them to leave out. I took it whilst walking on the Trent Embankment at Nottingham. I suppose I fancied the house, the boat is attractive too. Almost the whole group turned up today, just one missing and Lots of lovely paintings were in progress. One of our latest members is visually challenged and is producing some super pictures using lots of heavy black outlines and acrylic colour. He is, at present working on rose designs, (the type you see on canal boats), on a dark background. Another member brought in a watering can this morning and he is taking it home to paint castles & roses on it for her. I'll try to get a photograph of it when it's done. Not bad for someone who wears dark glasses, carries a white stick and can't see the number on the front of the bus. Will soon be running my second painting holiday in the Wye Valley and then, in July, the Eastwood Arts Festival will be putting demands on my time again. Back A.S.A.P. Good night.
