We have just have recently bought 2 Mark Rothko prints which we have had framed in plain black and we just love them...know one else does they think a kid could do them I say well try...the glazing and underpainting is mesmerising...but there are prints and posters and I'm not sure but I think prints are the better way to go...these have been in the bowels of our art gallery for 10 years until I rang and inquired so I don't think they would be too digitalised...don't care just love them...I don't know what it is about dogs but you are right they always lick your legs especially when just out of the shower maybe it's the cream...I've 2 to beat off my old dog and my Daughters pup...would need another shower if I let them at me...I'm going to post the picture of three of the bridesmaids in the gallery the other was signing the register and hope I don't get the tirade of abuse that I got on Sunday I won't leave it up for long though...these are my photos so not the best...I'll put one a day up and see how I go

I agree there is merit in hand-made prints....but giclee prints? up-market high definition digital laser/ink-jet prints on effect papers...can be done by anyone with great ease...this is not rocket science or a real print...just a glorified large scale digital picture...

Patsy, can't wait to see photos! It must have been fun seeing the dog try to lick their legs... why is it dogs always want to lick legs as soon as we put something on them?!? :-) Phil, I don't know if I agree on the print bit (by prints I mean printmaking rather than mass copy) but I do agree that many people will buy what they are told is trendy! I feel for people who don't buy what they love but rather what they think will make them money. No way to enjoy art!

Me again had the bride around tonight with my Daughter both had been for a spray on tan...what a laugh they both had white cotton gloves on and when my Daughter's little dog saw them all she wanted to do was kiss them all over their legs and arms so separation was required they shower in the morning which must mean a change of bed linen...it was so nice to sit down and have a girly with them I havn't seen the bride for a couple of weeks...she is a tall thin girl but she has lost even more weight what a way to get thinner...Daughter is the opposite a tallish girl but bigger than the bride so the weight lose for her was welcome...have now got permission from daughter to wear the same dress that I wore at the last wedding she thinks it's hot...the heels will be on back much better with the pills and doing only what I have to...will post photos on my blog

Now I want to live in London thank you for the wonderful journey which Iv'e filmed in my head...I see Battersea Dogs Home on TV I think it's a quite fashionable place now...must be great getting free prints of your work and also to watch the progress...I do agree with Phil that art is fashion driven...here in Perth it is anyway if it's not abstract don't bother shame isn't it...I'm painting pictures as gifts probably because I'm not as confident as I was way back when...but they are usually much appreciated...which I appreciate...although the young couple who I am painting this landscape for will be waiting a while the urge has gone for the moment...although I got a compliment from newly returned Mum-in-Law that she thought it was lovely so after the wedding I'm determined to finish...please keep your wonderful tours comming I love them...glad you freaked some people out fun isn't it

Thank you for this detailed report...more prints than paintings? The buying public are in sheep mode...the prints are safe because others must have bought them...they must be good...they must be superior to those untested original art works...who my friends have never heard of...or is it that the clip-frame is the in-thing still?
