Just spent the morning tidying up..and then set about binning all those failed paintings that could not be reused. I do feel better for doing it. Now all i have to do is learn from the mistakes i made and do some more work.... ha, not much then!!?? Good grief, this "relaxing pastime" is very intense and wears you out at times. Its not so bad though ..i find that when i paint..time falls away and ceases to exist for me. That is until a visitor turns up or the phone shrieks at me. My palette is a mess too , need to empty and reset all the mixed and muddy paint. Have just put some of the stiffer brushes into fabric softner for a while, that should do the trick. Am also sorting out charcoal and soft pastels for the life painting class on Saturday. Should come out of it nice and messy!!
