I'm a 40 something living in west sussex and I have painted most of my life ,the only 'o' levels I got were art and pottery. but couldn't go onto art college my family couldn't afford it. I was diagnosed as dyslexic in my late 20's when I went to college. I love painting life,figatutiveand abstracts mainly in oils and acrylics ,but also love using mixed media, especially when something isn't going as planned. I also do portaits in oil pastels and painting memories and childhood haunts. I also work with adults on the autistic spectrum using art/sensory therapy . My blog title comes from my name is frequently shorted to lo greeting me as 'hi lo 'but I think it describes my painting with the great highs and the not so great lows
