The D.H. Lawrence Heritage Centre at Eastwood, Nottinghamshire is in danger of being mothballed. We all know what that means. Vandalism & neglect. They spent more than 2 million pounds refurbishing the house & setting up the museum & gallery which is the only gallery in the whole of the borough of Broxtowe. I'd be ever grateful if some of you would look up the Facebook group 'Don't Close Durban House', & register a protest. The house attracts many tourists from all over the world, it is used for educational purposes with history of mining displays & a Victorian schoolroom set up for class history lessons with costumes etc., again the only one in the borough. We feel that it is important to keep it open. Please help if you can. I'm going to look for a link to the site, bear with me.
