I went to Trent Lock this morning along with a group of people from the Patchings summer term sessions.Painting Outdoors ~ Nottinghamshire's Waterways. Well we had perfect weather and sat under our umbrellas' to ward off the rays of the sun. The time passed like a flash. I begrudged taking time out to eat lunch. My friend and I decided that at 3.30pm. we hadn't had enough time out there so we stayed until 5pm. ~ I have nothing to show for my efforts, hence the picture that has nothing to do with waterways but substituted as a consolation. You may ask why. Well, I decided to include a spanking new Narrow Boat in the picture and, to cut a long story short, the owners of the boat were made aware of the painting by their grandson who had stopped to admire my work. They each in turn paid a visit to view it and bought it. Therefore I have spent the afternoon creating a work of art which I can't show to you because I forgot to take my camera along. Sorry.....
