Well now I have retired full time at such a late time in life. It’s going to be Painting full time from now on Just teaching and doing demonstrations and creating videos En Plein Air For those of you who don’t know me well. I am a retired Architect at heart, then I owned a small gallery where I sold my paintings I am a avid follower of Pure Watercolour I paint in no other medium as even after 50 years I am still learning watercolour. It’s a fascinating medium that always surprises, even now. I am always trying to teach the basics of putting a watercolour together. It’s a part of the art world that is so briefly skipped over, but so important. As is the habit of preparing initial sketches and tonals. Without these artists are going to struggle and struggle to achieve a reasonable painting. I see so many people trying to put together a picture. It’s fabulous to see that they are interested enough to try, and in a lot of cases there are outstanding results. With a little guidance in design those paintings would be even better. So this year 2022 I am going to devote a lot of time to teaching. If it’s at live classes or articles i am going to partake my knowledge that I have accumulated over the past years to others.
