DID I WANT SOME BOOKS ON ART

A friend called me to say that her friend was de-cluttering and was trying to fond a good home for some books on art. Was I interested. I said,"Bring them round when you come to supper on Wednesday. I am now the posessor of 12 bound volumes of 'The Artist', magazines from the 1930s. I haven't had time to really read any of them yet but am using coffee times to flip through them. They look very interesting but are printed, mostly, in black & white. I always get annoyed when I open books on art containing pictures of paintings without colour. I think to myself, "What's the point"? I may tell you about anything really interesting that I might encounter amongst the pages during future perusal. I popped in to the Arts Group meeting this morning to see that everything was OK before going for physiotherapy on my spine which, apparently, is causing the pain in my hip. Distributed the tickets for Patchings Festival to those who had ordered them and shot off to the clinic. When I arrived home I didn't see the message indicator on the phone, found it at tea time. Message said,"Maureen we couldn't lock the cupboard, tried for 10 minutes then left it. Well!!!! I jumped into the trusty Picasso and sped to the hall where I easily locked the cupboard. Our 'stuff', is safe for another week I hope. I have been painting this week but mostly I have been preparing for our Arts Week at Lindors where Himself & I will soon be enjoying ourselves leading others in the ways of our favourite hobbies. I'll attach a photograph of Lindors for you so that you can see why we are so looking forward to being there.
