Name. David Bishop Age. 56 Home. Norfolk As a young boy I always loved to draw but sadley lost confidence as, there always seamed so many other people in my school art class better then me. Time past and I married and had two children my son was born with special needs and required a lot of care. about a year after he was born I had a motorcycle accident I was not badley hurt but about three months later I suffered a nervous brakedown. I was advised to take up some kind of hobby which would help me recover. After a lot of thinking I decided to take up drawing which did help me to start concentrating on somthing else other then myself. After a full recover I started a new career and through myself into it 110% and forgot all about art again until, after some 20 years one divorce two redundantces and a faled business it was my saviour once again. My new partner after finding out I once liked to draw decided to buy me some oil pastels for Christmas this was about four years ago and I have not looked back since. Over the last Four years I have taken a one year open college course tried differant mediums and loved every minute of it. I now sell a few of my pictures and have had two commission. Life now holds so much more art has given me a new and wonderful insite into life I only wish I had taken it up more seriously years ago.
