The great APC Mince Pie Trials are now in full swing. It's become a tradition in the last few years for us to 'road test' a selection from local pie emporiums, and give them points for appearance, pastry and filling quality, etc.. Oh yes, it's a serious business, and not one to be scoffed at. Without wishing to give too much away at this early stage, joint first place is currently held by M&S and Tesco. We've also had home-baked pies from Jo and Dawn in the office - very delicious of course but as they're homemade there's an obvious advantage over the supermarkets, so we can't include them in the Trials. We'll keep you posted on the results... watch this space!
