Well, 'tis Christmas Eve in Tenterden. Happy (?!) shoppers are filling the High Street - do we detect a hint of panic on their faces? I think so. All our Christmas stockings are hanging up, ready for later tonight when Santa will be paying his annual visit. If he's lucky he might find a mince pie, but he may have to spend some time looking, as our 2007 Mince Pie Trials have drawn to a close. The votes are in (have we been watching too much Strictly Come Dancing/X Factor I wonder?) and we have a winner... (drum roll...) its the local bakery, we're pleased to say. Most definitely a cracking pie - if you're in Tenterden today, you must try one. That just leaves me to wish you a very happy and inspirational Christmas from all of us here at Painters-Online.
