Choose Joy
Rabbit Run Farm Birdhouse with Fireweed painting
My husband and I are at a time in our life that sometimes is hard, but always involves a deep love for each other and our devotion to God and faith in Jesus Christ. Since he has dialysis appointments which take up the batter part of 3 days a week, and I am his care-giver, I make it a point to make his free days enjoyable. We have found a destination that never fails to provide an ever-changing seasonal beauty in Warwick, New York. We drive to an area that has meadows and farms where at times, we find cows grazing and meadows filled with wildflowers. I have done many paintings of this area and all have sold and found a home. When we reach the Rabbit Run Farm I find my inspiration for painting and my husband enjoys sitting in a chair to watch me paint or wait in the car while I take photographs. Even there, the vista changes. The edge of the property is lined with 10 well-spaced birdhouses and the meadow has been filled with fireweed. My painting is one of the roadside birdhouses with the wildflowers in the foreground and field. I have chosen to name this painting "Choose Joy" If it finds a new home, I hope it will remind the person who buys it to "Choose Joy." Please visit my website: www.carolynopderbeck.com
