Hardly earth shattering news, but I am really pleased that I managed to get down to my studio and finish my pen and wash of the Doge's Palace. I have gone for restraint to try and let the drawing speak for itself and I'll see how it is received on the gallery before deciding if it was the right decision. It has been a difficult couple of weeks and I have had a lot of issues to deal with and, oh my goodness, doesn't it sap one's creative juices when that happens. I need my fairy godmother, armed with three wishes, to appear and my choice would be for 'peace, peace and then more peace!' I must be getting old.
