I'm not very good at this Blog thing, probably as I spend far too much time reading other peoples Blogs or painting. For all I've neglected to say over 2009 - It started as a very bad year with little work, money worries and ill health. I had a minor operation at the end of summer and everything changed. I now feel fantastic and work has been rolling in like never before. I've been selling old work and taking new commissions and am booked up well into summer. It's a real worry to be self employed when you have a family to support. For a while I was thinking I would have to give up painting for a living and try to get a real job. I think the lower end of the Art market suffers massively during a recession. I'm very lucky to have an understanding and supportive Wife who manages to have enough faith for the both of us. Anyway - I hope this year turns out to be a great one for all of us. Happy new year!
