Back in the swing

The newness of the new kitchen is wearing off and I'm back into the art scene. Our group of eight 'ART BUDDIES', that's what we have called ourselves, have been lucky in getting a vacant shop in the Riverside Centre Shopping Mall in Holmfirth in West Yorkshire, for the duration of HOLMFIRTH ARTWEEK. This a yearly fund raising event for MacMillan Nurses Cancer Charity and this a fantastic chance to be part of it. The downturn in the economy meant that the owners of the Riverside, who also run the Art Shop, TOUCH OF COLOUR in the Centre, offered the use of the empty shop as a fringe event . I've been framing up some of the monoprint paintings I did at the workshop in April and also doing silk paintied cards and a new painting in the style of Van Gogh's Irises. It's still only a Gutta outline at the moment but I hope to be on with it tomorrow and will put it on the site when it's finished. Busy Busy Busy!!
