BACK AGAIN

Hello, Been to Yorkshire & enjoyed sketching & painting on the coast & in the farmyard where we were staying in a barn conversion, cottage. Enjoyed the week, partly self catering and partly eating in pubs & cafes'. Walked a little but the left hip is still bothersome, seeing the doc., on Tuesday. On our way out to dinner last night, a young man reversed from a pub car park on to the road & into the rear end of our Picasso. Fortunately, we were both travelling at low speed so only the cars were damaged. The insurance company is sorting it. Visited a gallery in Kettleness & was impressed by the oil paintings of Alfred Moser, artist imigrated from Switzerland. I bought raffle tickets as he had donated a painting for the fund raising efforts of his local parish. It's a lovely picture & I hope I am the lucky winner, will let you know. I am doing a similar thing here for the town Mayor's charities & have donated one of my paintings for the prize draw. It's called 'Summer Gold' and portrays the last bunch of Rudbeckia cut from the garden before, himself cleared the dead & dying, late summer flowers. Tickets are issued upon receipt of a donation to the charities which are, The Lung Function Dept. at the City Hospital & Age Concern, Eastwood. Hoping to collect a fair amount as the proceeds will be split 50/50 between the two. I'll put it on the Gallery for you to see. Putting a page of my sketch book on here & in the Gallery so you might see it better. Will show the farmyard painting when it's finished. - / - We, himself & I have been invited to lead another of our Arts Week Holidays at Whitby at an hotel belonging to the same group as the one in the Wye Valley. It will happen next year in July & if successful there'll be another in November. We are delighted about this and hope for the same success as before. - / - I could go on but we haven't had tea yet and it's nearly 7pm. Back soon.
