Just had a holiday in Alderney in the Channel Islands and what a fantastic place it is! Quiet beaches, relaxed pace of life and really friendly people. I have come home with a wealth of photographic material for paintings, I wish I'd had more time to make some sketches but the demands of keeping a 5 year old occupied meant that I didn't get too many opportunities. She is getting quite good at drawing though so in a couple of years she can come sketching with me with any luck. The attached picture is a coloured pencil sketch of Saye Bay that might become a painting soon.
