well, what's that saying about the road to hell being paved with good intentions? :) despite wanting to get in with a new painting I've had a family invasion...lovely to see them of course but painting has taken a back seat. And of course the garden needs work just now to keep some of the weeds down and give the flowers a chance....more family here today so hopefully tomorrow I can crack on with some painting. time's never wasted though because thinking about the next one and planning out composition and colours can be done while doing other things. If I have a wakeful night I use the time to think about planned paintings - but I'm never such a planner that I don't let the painting evolve as we go along - sometimes they take a completely different line to what we intended, like this one which was supposed to be more structured and confined. That's if I can work out how to post images anyway...
