President Obama

This is a good likeness and I like the painting it is strong. I don't think the flag included is a good idea and I am a bit distracted by it and the texture of the background - I think it would work better without that. The Michelle Obama is also charming.

Hi Derek, Thanks for your comments. My only focus is Obama with no other distractions, hence a very plain background. I felt that Obama's focus would be his commitment to his country which has always appeared to be so important to him and I felt that is where his thoughts would generally be and as such the flag was meant to be symbolic of his dedication.
