Thank you. Yes Amanda - Lots of looking and thinking how to not overwork the painting. I spent many years thinking that a good painting had to be a perfect representation. Now I am finding much more enjoyment working within a scene rather than just trying to recreate it. I've got a camera for that! (I would like to add that I have huge respect for representational art and artists it's just I have more fun this way).

Surely this is representational art? Not photorealistic (heaven forbid!), but the sbject is recognisable and you are, indeed, re-presenting it...

You're absolutely right Amanda- I meant photorealistic not representational. Representational is what I'm after!
