Very strong, sculptured brushwork and a good composition, with the bay sweeping around to the tower. I only just noticed the figure, perhaps a little colour would make him more noticable?

I agree with Stephen - a red or yellow jacket would distinguish him/her from the landscape. I admire your plain air efforts. (I'm much too lazy to get out their and feel more comfortable having time to consider the composition and make changes) Overall you produce a genuine spontaneous feeling. in your paintings which I love. In my humble opinion though for some, I would increase the contrast, when back at home particularly in the foreground to increase the aerial perspective.

Thank you for your comments. I do agree with adding some contrast and also about the colour of the man's coat - however I quite like the fact that it isn't instantly obvious that he is there. I am finding it difficult know how to make "natural" alterations; I think the confidence to do that comes with more experience - so I shall keep at it!
