Historic "Wonnerup"
This interpretation is of one of the group of period buildings in the large grounds of "Wonnerup" in Western Australia. It is a good idea to bring the sky down into the subject matter below, for example, into hills if a landscape is being painted. Here I have brought some of the colour of the sky, which was painted wet-in-wet, down and onto the roof increasing its value at the point closest to the viewer. The interplay of white areas give a freshness and contrast to the painting. Arches 300gsm Not was used and the paints were Winsor & Newton.
