Thank you very much Neil, I did think that there should be a bit more reflection, but I have promised myself not to fiddle around with a painting, if I do I usually land up with mud.

you captured the essence and no messing. I like to do birds but get caught up in the tiny detail! Not always necessary. I like your style!

Hello Mary, thanks for your lovely comments, it is very difficult I know not too add too much detail, I'm still trying not to really, I still find it very difficult, and I think a lot of artists do too. Sometimes it helps to use the brush on its side so you just skim over the paper with not to much water added to the paint.

Beautiful bird indeed the colours are wonderful...as said above just enough no more needed
