Winter Evening, Blockley, Golden Fluid Acrylics, (10”x14”)
Tim Fisher recommends one of his favourite products as the perfect gift for Christmas as he demonstrates a festive scene using Golden Fluid Acrylics.
One of my favourite products and something I would highly recommend are Golden Fluid acrylics. Half way between an ink and a medium body paint, Golden fluid acrylics have a creamy consistency and a high pigment loading which helps to maintain its colour strength even when diluted.
This is why I like to use these paints for watercolour style paintings as I enjoy the freshness and transparency that these paints give. The colours are permanent and fully lightfast when dry, so any corrections during painting must be done whilst still wet. Ordinary watercolour brushes can be used, but they must be washed thoroughly after use.
A good starter set would be the colours listed above which I used to paint Winter Evening, Blockley in my video demonstration below.
Golden Fluid Acrylics come in 30ml bottles and can be purchased from as little as £7.44 per colour from Art Supplies with Painters Online
