Winners of our Portrait Painting Competition Announced

Three talented artists announced as winners of our competition to paint a portrait.

With 145 fantastic portraits entered for our recent competition with Search Press, we had a great time judging.

After much discussion the following three artists were chosen to win a set of books:

Rita Fair for her beautiful oil painting, Jessica's necklace (see right)

Steve Sciberras for his detailed charcoal drawing, Old

Lovely portraits. All very different but all capture character and feeling. Congratulations to the winners.

I love the charcoal drawing, it's very brave, but please, couldn't you have thought of a better name for it? Thoughtful, or Sad, or Pensive, but not OLD! I am old, but don't like the label!
