Online painting lessons in support of the Charlie Waller Trust

Artists Laura Wallace, Julie Cameron, Hermione Gibbs and Leonie Gibbs are providing online painting lessons to help support the work of mental health charity the Charlie Waller Trust.

Master the Art of Painting is a series of 30-minute online sessions which provide step by step guides to help you create something beautiful from scratch.

The expert guidance will take you through simple sketching to a finished oil painting covering still life to portraits, landscapes to flowers.

Evidence shows that two of the five ways to mental wellbeing are to keep learning and take notice, and painting enables you to practise both.

Artist Laura Wallace said: 'I’m absolutely delighted to lend a hand to this project and help provide some guidance to any budding artists out there. I think painting is a fantastic outlet which can really support good mental wellbeing, and these online sessions provide an opportunity for people to take a break and learn something new.'

Clare Stafford, Chief Executive of the Charlie Waller Trust, said: 'We’re absolutely thrilled to have got the support of such acclaimed artists to lead this exciting online art course. Getting creative is a great way to support your mental wellbeing so if you’ve ever wanted to paint but didn’t know where to start, this is for you.'

The cost is £15 per session or a discounted price of £50 for all four sessions.
