This year our 2020 calendar, produced in partnership with Art Safari, includes a monthly painting or drawing challenge with the chance to win £40 of art materials vouchers from Winsor & Newton every month.

Before the lock down due to the terrible times we are living in , we invited artists to enter a plein air painting of somewhere in their locality for the chance to win art materials vouchers worth £40 from Winsor & Newton.

Some artists entered early and following the escalation of the Coronavirus outbreak,  we encouraged paintings of scenes which could be seen from home. Of all the entries we chose this impasto oil painting by Martin Hill of The Bandstand Magdaen Green as the winning entry.
