Another great sketch in attractive muted colour mode Alan. Nice work.

I like this one Alan, the earthy tones makes it sit nicely in the setting.

Like the colours and style, Alan

It’s a yes from me too Alan!

Nice to see Jimmy Perez's cottage again!

Alan, I’m really liking the palette and style of your pen & wash paintings. You make them look effortless by their looseness, simply lovely. If you personal message me your address I will send you a couple of sheets of the Jackson’s rough to try, before you commit. It has its foibles but once you get the hang of laying washes on it it’s okay. One thing I found with it, you can’t go into an already damp wash easily.....it doesn’t like it and cauliflowers a lot. But once you get use to that particular quirk it’s fine.

Your work is always good and this is no exception

Looks good to me Alan. I would take up Fiona offer as she says Jackson’s rough does take a bit of getting used to.

Thanks all for looking at this. Linda I think it is the cottage `in the Shetland programme. I just thought it made a nice subject. Fiona thanks for the offer but have already ordered a Jackson 140lb 16" x. 12" block. I will comment when I have tried. it.

No problem Alan, good luck. Persevere with it for a while, you will be rewarded with some lovely textural line work especially.

Another effort but swordliner rather than match stick. On Bockingford which I don't think is the right paper for this. Maybe Saunders waterford better or Jackson paper used by Fiona
