Nice fresh watercolour Alan, I went on a course there some years ago, it's a super spot isn't it? It all depends on the type of painting you want to produce I suppose. You could try another with more detail if you would like to and compare. I admire artists who can combine the two, some detail and yet retain the freshness. Needless to say, it's beyond me!

A loose watercolour on 16" x 12" Saunders High White Rough painted on site during a half hour break in the recent Steve Hall Course at Dedham. These quick outdoor sketches often work better for me than studio paintings. No 20 and 16 Luxartis Sable rounds and restricted palette of ultramarine, burnt umber, burnt sienna, raw sienna and cadmium yellow pale. Answers on a postcard please.
