I like this Alan. Simple and effective with a limited palette. Nice work.

Works well Alan, I remember reading an article by James Fletcher Watson, saying his later shaky hand was useful for doing tree branches! Hope you have settled in at your new accommodation.

Good work Alan, not that I would wish a shaky hand on anyone but it can be useful in recreating the styles of artists such as John Hoar where there isn’t a straight line in sight.

Thanks all. Not sure Arches Rough is best for this. Need to work on sharpening the match stick. Would like to get variation in lines, e.g,. thin, thick, broken. These delineate the shapes too much. Will keep trying.

On Arches Rough experimenting painting with a shaky hand. So loose drawing with a matchstick and ink and restyric tded palette of washes withONE brush, a ProArt series 50 small squirrel filbert. Certainly stops fiddling!
