Lots of folklore and traditions surrounding this beautiful enigmatic creature, and you could almost believe it all, if you’ve watched and studied Hare’s. I think your drawing and painting is fabulous David, love everything about it.

Thanks everyone - This is the second last of 110 paintings going to my Exhibition of Ross inspired work to open in 2 weeks time. I wanted to break free from the more representational images that have predominated my attention for the last 30 months.

Some pagan and other traditions see a Hare in the dark shapes on the moon. In some places the Hare Moon is celebrated. I am playing with the idea .

I'm an 81 year old retired surgeon . Art has been my lifelong obsession away from work and now my main focus in life together with woodwork. I enjoy creating and making in any medium but have always gravitated to drawing and watercolour. I've also had limited training in etching and sculpture.
