Yes it was sad . At the time I just took photos then buried the hare . Only now have I felt like drawing from the references. Thanks everyone.

I found this dead hare in our yard - no sign of any injury. It had been nestling in a grassy hollow and would jump out if we got too close. I learned they can suffer cardiac arrest even from just a dog barking and only live 3 years?
