Wishing you all much success in the coming year I often find I get in a rut with my painting and fearful of stepping out of the what feels safe and known. Gave myself a time limit of 2 hours to do this on a 10x10 board in wind, rain and fast moving cloud and light. I find this sort of exercise very freeing and takes the fear of failure away ( as I feel I’ll fail anyway) this allows for experiment and pushing boundaries etc without the fear of ruining what might feel like a half decent painting.
