A sad loss but not forgotten by your terrific cat portraits.

He has a beautiful expression and an intelligent look, what a lovely way to remember him.

Sad loss but wonderful memories , and beautifully drawn.

These are beautiful Rachel. It’s a very sad time when a pet dies, all the more so because Lancelot was feral yet became a loving pet.

Lovely picture tribute.

Beautiful tribute to Lancelot

Thank you so much Chris, Paul, Tessa, Marjorie, Stephen, and Romila for your lovely comments. It’s lovely to share him on here.

How adorable they all are Rachel. So sorry lo lost him. It’s so sad when they are no longer with us.

Wonderful drawing of your beloved cat, Rachel!

So sorry your loved companion left for better quarters (I know cats: I bet that's what he thought). These are lovely drawings of him, and they'll always remind you of his company: they tolerate us and allow us to serve them; some give more than they receive, and your account suggests that Lancelot knew how to give. The only animals that live long enough are tortoises - who can outlive us (easily): it'd be good to find a happy medium - one that could keep pace with us, and we with them.

Such a beautifully drawn tribute.

Thank you so much Carole, Cesare, Petra and Anne, and Robert for such lovely words, much much appreciated.

What a wonderful quartet of artwork, what a lovely cat he looked

Lovely sketches and memories of a friend

I am so moved by your tribute to Lancelot Rachel. I am glad you found each other. The drawings are superb x

A portrait of my beloved cat Lancelot, who very sadly passed in January- He was so playful, cheeky and inquisitive and I wanted to capture a few of his expressions- He was a 9 year old wild Feral Tom cat when he came to me, who, not only allowed me to tame him, but grew into one of the most loving cats Ive ever had.

Rachel Wood

I paint Plein Air, and landscapes are my passion. The changing light, never knowing quite what may happen, searching for a subject, meeting passers by, all add to the excitement and richness of landscape painting. My other passion is playing the violin, occasionally in and around the streets and…
