Verenna - another perspective

Verenna - another perspective

Super colors, Christine, and I like the deliberate distortions. It works very well artistically!

Love this! So inventive and colourful - makes me want to go there. I do like the naive look and the flattened perspective as it adds a lot of interest. Super work.

Hi Christine - thanks for your kind comments about my black tulip painting! I think this is a great collage, and I can see you really enjoyed doing it. There is something very satisfying about cutting and tearing paper. Now I challenge you to make a painting from the collage!!

Thank you very much Seok, Thea and Julie. I found this method of recycling much more rewarding! Julie, I seem to have lost confidence with a paintbrush recently but maybe your challenge will help address that!

What a super idea and so well done!

Thank you Lesley, I really enjoyed doing this, I had a pile of lovely 'Coast' magazines that I was reluctant to part with. Lots of material now for more collages!

Christine Your work is awe inspiring I have long thought about a collage I did one some years ago after spending a long long time on it I gave it away which of course is sheer folly but hey I'm going to do another one You have inspired Me Robert Hughes

Thank you very much Robert, I am really enjoying mixing collage and acrylics. I was given some gesso coated plywood panels and these and a pile of old magazines keep me happy for hours! I had become a bit fixated with iPad painting and I find collage equally absorbing! Get sticking!

I was about to take a pile of old magazines to the recycling bin and decided instead to use them for collage. I enjoyed cutting and sticking to make this picture of the lovely little town of Verenna on Lake Como.
