Thank you Julie, Petra and Sylvia for your comments, I think the iPad particularly suits the type of graphic art I like to do. I'm attending an acrylics workshop on Saturday and have planned my painting on the iPad so it will be interesting to see how it interprets into an actual painting. Louise, it took about 2 hours to do. You can zoom in and out of the painting to do detailed work and can easily undo and redo anything you're not happy with. I don't think it will ever take over from the 'real' thing but it is great fun to use.

Thank you Seok for your kind comment. I am really enjoying using the iPad, it suits the style of art I like to do i.e. strong, vibrant, solid colours.

I wanted to try a bird for my 'bird alphabet' using iPad 'Brushes'. Puffin's are one of my favourite birds and the shapes and colours seemed ideal for this.
