Absolutely beautiful Christine!

Well Christine, it's rather wonderful.

I've said it before Christine, but these studies are damn good, and this is no exception.

Fantastic, Christine.

Wonderful Christine

Magnificent Christine!! I love it!!

Thank you Fiona, Linda, Karen, Ruthy and Satu!

Brilliant work Christine, love the owl and the twiggy tree is great.

Christine, love it - and especially the way you've done the tree and sky as a backdrop to the wonderful owl. All your collages are so creative and original!

Spectacular Christine a brilliant piece of art.

I met an owl with no sense of direction some years ago - out for a walk in the dusk, and the bird flew within fractions of an inch of my face: and this is much what he looked like (except he was a Tawny Owl): surprised, and not a little put out.

I do like your branches in this one - those blackish twigs look just like hawthorn. This would be a good painting even without the bird!

Thank you Carole, Jenny, Val and Robert for your kind comments. Robert, I'm afraid I can't take total credit for the background. I used a piece of Japanese Lokti paper from my collage paper stash. It comes embossed with the tree branch image but takes watercolour really well so I added the washes to define the evening sky.

Fantastic Christine - it looks like you have got your mojo back!

Never mind, Christine - the sky washes work very well with the image on the paper, so your eye is still good!

This is absolutely STUNNING, Christine! This has to count as one of my favorites among your recent works. Superb composition and textures and such life and vitality in the piece. It's just fabulous!
