Loads of spontaneity captured. I especially like the bold brushwork in the foreground that that separates it from receding scene.

When I first saw this I thought, blimey, Willie is made of strong stuff, painting outdoors in this weather! Then I read your description.....it has the free and uncluttered look of a outdoor sketch.
