Lovely painting Willie, like the contrast between the darks in the foreground and the light coming through the distant trees.

Lovely - I really like the way you have painted the water and the far distance

Really like this, Willie - especially the distant misty look.

You have encapsulated as great feeling here Willie, well done, super.

A beautiful painting - lovely water.

Superb Willie beautiful light

Beautiful palette Willie. Gives a lovely tranquil atmosphere.

Beautiful, looking towards that light.

Very nicely done Willy you obviously have a good memory.

An eye catcher , Willie , tonally and colourwise

This is gorgeous Willie

Thank you everyone for your kind remarks, I'd sooner have done this one plein air but its five miles away and my name isn't Boris and it is January after all! Thanks a lot.

Great depth and distance here Willie and a very appealing subject.

Love it, the light of the river is excellent.

A great scene and painted so well.

Love the palette Willie and the way you have described the undergrowth...you can see what it is but it isn’t fussy and over worked. Like it a lot.

Thanks Carole, Paul, Kwok and Fiona, always appreciate your comments

It's great Willie. I love the contrast you have created.

Nice painting, with good distance and composition and light on the water at the back which you often get in rivers and the sea.

This is a view I noted between lockdowns. I couldn't get back there again under the rules so this is from memory (with a nod to Chris Forsey). Oil on canvas board 16"x16"
