A View NW from Port William by Willie Drea

Ha ha....the word Galloway and rain sort of go hand in hand Willie! Funny we should both post paintings done in Galloway and both with the threat of, or rain. I’m about a 15minute drive from Port William and I have to say the colours, contours and shoreline are spot on. Super work Willie.

Excellent conversion to oil then. I can feel the wet and atmosphere, one very familiar. I used to live further up on the west coast ....

Looks so cold and windy, great painting. The grasses in the foreground look like the are bending in the wind, I’m waiting for them to move back as the wind drops.
